Description of magur hatchery
The flow through hatchery consists of a metallic stand or cemented platform on which the small plastic tubs of 35cm dia with 9cm depth are placed in a row. The tub usually accommodates within 1000 eggs for better hatching. Water supply is provided from an overhead tank through a common pipe to all the tubs with individual control taps. Each tub is having provision of an outlet just bellow the rim of the tub. Feeble water supply or continuous water drops (200-250 ml/min) is provided to the incubation tub through control tap for optimum hatching of the eggs.
